Brace yourself for the world’s first-ever conscious tech summit. It’s called the Vested Summit, and it will take place at Egypt’s Red Sea town of El Gouna next month in the presence of investors, entrepreneurs, and experts representing the realm of “tech for good.”

Organized by S[k]³aleUp Ventures, the Vested Summit will kick off on May 9, 2018, and continue through May 12.

The event, first of its kind, aims to provide a global platform to tech entrepreneurs focused on revolutionary innovations such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and blockchain.

The Vested Summit will comprise three individual tracks:

  1. A two-day hackathon that will see participating entrepreneurs creating a prototype of their product.
  2. A global exposure stage to allow speakers from all around the world to discuss and demonstrate their innovations.
  3. Shark Zone, which is an initiative to match selected entrepreneurs with the right investors.

The event is the brainchild of Salma El Hariry, the chief executive officer (CEO) of S[k]³aleUp Ventures. Speaking of the core motive behind launching the event, El Hariry said, “We believe it’s time to connect the ‘90 percent of the world’. To power technology solutions can lead to the advancement of humanity. We want to get the top 10 percent of tech startups in emerging markets and connect them to the latest technology trends, skills, tools, networks and capital necessary for them to scale up their solutions to solve the world’s most pressing problems.”.
