Zain Bahrain has unveiled ZainTech, an all-in-one digital-solutions arm that lets enterprises and government bodies source cloud, cybersecurity, data and drone services under a single contract—cutting the multi-vendor tangle that often slows transformation projects.

The new unit consolidates Zain Group’s ICT assets into a centre of excellence able to design, deploy and manage end-to-end tech stacks for customers across Bahrain. Beyond core telecom infrastructure, ZainTech offers managed cloud, big-data analytics, security operations, and industry-specific platforms delivered through alliances with AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Oracle and others. Zain Bahrain managing director Mohammed Zainalabedin said the launch supports the kingdom’s socio-economic goals by giving organisations “sophisticated services they require” without leaving the country. For SMEs and large ministries alike, that means faster access to pay-as-you-go solutions plus local advisory talent familiar with Bahrain’s compliance landscape.

ZainTech CEO Andrew Hanna added that the unit will leverage group-wide scale while providing on-the-ground support, positioning it to expand beyond telecom customers into finance, logistics and public-sector modernisation. The move follows Bahrain’s wider Digital Economy Strategy 2022-26, which targets more private-sector cloud adoption and stronger cyber resilience as levers for GDP growth.
