As this year almost comes to an end, it’s the perfect time for self-reflection, and gearing up for fresh starts, and yes, that includes the ambitious resolutions we swear will stick to next year. But while personal goals tend to fizzle by February (we’ve all been there!), your startup resolutions can totally make it through the entire year. Here are some fun and achievable goals to keep your startup going in the year ahead.

1. Talk to Your Customers. Like, Really Talk.

We’re talking about those deep, meaningful convos—beyond surveys and NPS scores. Schedule calls, send DMs, and get cozy with their pain points. Ask them what’s working, what’s not, and how you can make their lives better. Sometimes, the best insights come from casual chats. So grab a coffee or a cup of karak, and let the ideas brew!

2. Make Your Team Love Sundays Again.

We know Sundays get a bad rep, but they don’t have to! Create a culture where your team feels valued, motivated, and excited to kickstart the week. Try introducing fun traditions like surprise breakfasts, or short morning huddles where everyone shares one exciting win or goal for the week. Trust us, it works!

3. Put That ‘To-Do Later’ List to Bed.

Every startup has one—the list of tasks you’ve pushed to “later.” Whether it’s that website revamp, overdue blog content, or automating that tedious process, make it a goal to tackle one “later” task every month. It’s oddly satisfying, and it frees up mental space for new, better ideas.

4. Say Yes to Networking (Even if It’s Just for the Snacks).

This year, resolve to get out there! Attend meetups, pitch nights, or casual events (hint: our events are a great place to start). You never know who you’ll meet—a potential investor, mentor, or even your next co-founder.

5. Be the Boss Who Actually Takes Breaks.

Hustle culture is so last year. Schedule mini-breaks during your day, whether it’s a quick walk, a power nap, or just some guilt-free scrolling. A well-rested founder is a productive founder, and hey, it sets a great example for your team.

6. Experiment Like It’s Your Job (Because It Kinda Is).

Launch that MVP, test a new marketing channel, or try selling in a different market. Experimentation is the true lifeblood of startups. Not every test will succeed, but every result will teach you something valuable. Get creative!

7. Celebrate the Small Wins (Cue the Confetti).

Did you close a deal? Survive a tough quarter? Get an awesome shoutout on social media? Celebrate it all—big or small. Startup life is hard, and every milestone deserves a moment of recognition (and maybe a slice of cake!).

8. Be Kind to Yourself.

Remember: You’re human, not a superhero (though we know you’re pretty awesome). Building a startup is no small feat, so give yourself credit where it’s due. If a resolution or two doesn’t pan out, that’s okay—there’s always next year.

As we leap into another exciting year, these resolutions are here to help you keep growing, learning, and having a fun along the way. Let’s make this the year of smarter scaling, stronger connections, and unstoppable momentum for your startup.
