Arabot, the platform focused on developing state-of-the-art conversational AI and text understanding technologies, has rolled out a new Messenger chatbot. The new offering was designed specifically to enable Jordanian consumers to connect with service providers across the country.
Additionally, the chatbot is expected to play a key role in providing easy access to trusted health information and advice from official channels during these trying times when the whole world is battling against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
Dubbed Musaed Bot, Arabot’s new product works on Facebook Messenger and is currently available free of charge to all Jordanians. In the initial phases, the bot will support only Arabic, which could be later extended to other languages in the coming months.
Musaed Bot is expected to make life easier for tens of thousands of service providers including grocery and medical stores. With the bot ready to communicate with their customers, these businesses can effectively handle more orders and service-requests.
That way, the bot will be indirectly encouraging people to stay more at home while their daily requirements are processed way more efficiently during the COVID-19 lockdown period.
Following the launch of Musaed Bot, Abdallah Faza, CEO of Arabot, said: “In light of the country’s recent implementation of a strict lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus, forcing most people to stay indoors and temporarily shutting down grocery stores and pharmacies, we are pleased to be able to provide Jordan’s 10 million residents with a personalized chatbot service on Facebook Messenger.
He added, “In these unprecedented times, chatbots emerge as one of the few channels that can allow the public to get access to many authorized service providers who deliver bread, food, medications, and other essentials directly to their neighborhoods, in order to limit COVID-19’s spread and keep people safe.”
