The 12th edition of the Annual Young Entrepreneurs Competition, organized by INJAZ Bahrain, was held recently with 21 participating teams representing about three dozen high schools and universities from across the Kingdom. The National Bank of Bahrain sponsored the event as an extension to its commitment towards youth development and empowerment.

Given the fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held completely virtually over Zoom over the course of two days. The competition also included a separate track called “Excellence in Marketing” award, also sponsored by the NBB.

“NBB is committed to supporting INJAZ Bahrain, which plays an integral role in encouraging creativity within the younger generation,” said Dana Buheji, Chief Human Resource Officer of NBB and Board Member of INJAZ Bahrain, following the successful completion of the event.

“This is in line with the Bank’s strategy to groom future leaders and we are proud to sponsor the 12th edition of the Young Entrepreneurs Competition, as well as the NBB ‘Excellence in Marketing’ Award, which successfully achieved our joint goals to nurture promising talents in collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain.”

Apart from the sponsorship, several NBB employees also played an important part in mentoring and helping the participants to meet their targets during the competition.
